5-Amino-1MQ 50mg | NNMT Research Compound
5-Amino-1MQ (5-amino-1-methylquinolinium) is a synthetic small-molecule research compound investigated as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). It is studied in preclinical research involving cellular metabolism, NAD+-associated pathways and metabolic signalling.
This product is supplied as 50mg research material exclusively for laboratory and research purposes.
Not intended for human or veterinary use. This product is supplied exclusively for laboratory and analytical research.
Research overview.
5-Amino-1MQ, or 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium, is a small-molecule quinolinium compound investigated as an inhibitor of the enzyme nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT).
NNMT participates in nicotinamide metabolism and uses S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) during methylation of nicotinamide. Consequently, 5-Amino-1MQ has been investigated experimentally in research concerning NNMT inhibition, NAD+-associated metabolism, cellular energy pathways and adipocyte biology. The evidence base remains preclinical and does not establish human therapeutic efficacy or safety.
Importantly, despite frequently being sold alongside research peptides, 5-Amino-1MQ is not a peptide. It is a small organic molecule and has no amino-acid sequence.
Pro-Peptides supplies 5-Amino-1MQ as 50mg research material exclusively for controlled laboratory and analytical research.

One important detail: I would not put a universal molecular weight/formula into your product table until you’ve checked the COA, because 5-Amino-1MQ can be supplied in different salt forms. For example, PubChem records the iodide salt as C₁₀H₁₁IN₂ with CAS 42464-96-0.
